The Doctor's Bedroom Tumblr, now open for business.

[ profile] ms_prue gets partial blame for this. I just took her idea and ran with it.

SFX hosts a contest to design the Doctor's bedroom. Now taking bets on how many entries they get vs. how many entries they could actually publish in a family magazine.

Gay Tea Party Witch Sex: Three tales of erotic political fiction

It's The Boston Phoenix's "hot, throbbing election special," featuring Palin/O'Donnell, Kerry/Brown, and Stewart/Cooper/Maddow! Equally un-brain-safe illustrations accompany each story.

Sample, from the Kerry/Brown fic: But this time, John's pain ebbed beneath a wave of fresh exhilaration. He could focus on only one thing: Scott Brown, sheathed in Lycra, gliding ahead of him. The junior senator pumped furiously, occasionally arching his back to flash a glimpse of those Cosmo-worthy glutes — truly, the People's Seat.

I'd rate these PG (there's nothing explicit, thank God, because I do not need some of these images in my head), and the first and last need warnings for non/dubcon (love potion, shag or die).

Things that have made me giggle uncontrollably this morning, and which I know parts of the flist will enjoy as much as I did: the Buddy Cthulhu.

I'm not sure how I missed this timeline of public reaction to S5, but it's classic. Sample entries:

“Doctor Who” becomes a trending topic on Twitter as fans rush to the internet to declare their hatred of the new opening titles.

April 10, 7:30 PM GMT
Next episode preview leads to fans complaining about the Daleks, the most profitable and recognizable recurring enemy in the series, appearing on the show yet again.

May 20, 6:35 PM GMT
Several fan blogs complain about how having a straight show-runner for the first time since 1979 has robbed the show of an essential element of its appeal, as Moffat keeps ramming his “Straight Agenda” down the audience’s throat. There is no indication that they are joking about this.
