30 Days of Who meme, day 29: who you think should be the next Doctor

As with many of the entries for this meme, I can't narrow it down to one.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, who was rumored to be in play for Eleven. I've liked him in everything I've seen him in.

Eddie Izzard, whose name has also been tossed about as a potential future Doctor. He's a great actor, too, not just a comedian.

Helen Mirren, because while I haven't always been on the female!Doctor train, I could get used to the idea, especially if she got cast in the role.

I love Chiwetel Ejiofor (Eddie Izzard and Helen Mirren, too) more than there are words to tell it.

I am new to Doctor Who (just started watching with this season), but I think these are all excellent suggestions.

If they got Helen Mirren, they'd have to get the BBC TV equivalent of an R rating.

She'd be like, "Cast Chuck Norris as The Master -- I'll kick his ass all the way out of Time."

I did not see it, but will definitely track it down so that I can!

I had Paul Bettany firmly fixed in my mind as the man for Eleven, thanks to a fic someone wrote ages ago, but given the Eleven we've got now, I don't think we need Paul Bettany for Twelve. Eddie Izzard would take a lot of getting used to but would do it well given that, I reckon.

That's the one. Dear me, I just had to read that again as a result and I'd forgotten just how good it was.

I would get on any "train" for Helen Mirren, but then I'm a dirty, dirty boy.

I was talking about the amazingness of Chiwetel Ejiofor the other day, and no one knew who I was going on about.

Have you seen him as a drag queen in Kinky Boots? Amazing performance. Plus, he looks good in a suit, as evidenced in Love Actually. :)

Kinky Boots was lightweight, but Ejiofor was amazing in it. The movie was rather crappy, but he made every scene he was in worthwhile. I saw it shortly after seeing Dirty Pretty Things and remember thinking that he could do anything. So talented.

His part in Love Actually is super small, but he looks so pretty in it.
