I have to admit, Eleven/Rose isn't something I read regularly either, but as I said to stick_poker upthread, it felt right to put it in based on how the previous story in the series had gone. As for Rose -- I'd like to think that like most of us, some of her more impulsive traits (like her jealousy) have tempered with age. Writing her five years post-JE is a nice cheat to make that happen ;)

(Also, as you probably figured out, I love figs myself. So glad it's finally fig season!)
