Something, somewhere in my house is missing a small suction cup. The cats aren't talking, but clearly they know where it came from, because I found it on the floor.

I can't think of anything we own that even uses suction cups. And yet of course I can't get rid of it, because the instant I do, the mystery object will reappear in desperate need of its missing accessory.

I hate when this happens.

I have a whole house full of kipple.

It's on my desk right now. Perhaps I should throw it into the Boxes of Mysterious Cables we keep in the guest bedroom, though I shudder to think what the demon spawn of a suction cup and a parallel-port cable would look like.

I brought it into the bedroom, where

columbina is sitting with the cat, and asked him if he knew where it might have come from. He didn't know, but Mr. Peterson immediately turned to me and made a bunch of noises. The little bastard knows and just isn't telling!

That feels more like the spawn of a suction cup and a microscope stand to me, but still, the idea of that suction cup breeding with what's in the cable boxes is scary.

Google Images rocks. I just used it this evening to find a promo photo of Jeremy Clarkson I could use to make an icon for my husband.

There needs to be a "random" function for Google Images like there is for Wikipedia.

Twyla loves that I mostly use a laptop now. It has created a whole new set of ways for her to be up in my business. Her favorite is to come sit on my chest (if I am lying on the couch, knees up, laptop against lap at an angle). That way she is right in front of my face, obscuring the screen. If she can't get there, she makes her little meeping noises.

Both Mr. P and Inu do this! And last week Inu would NOT shut up until I sat her on my lap while I was at my desk, which meant she could press the trackpad button with her paws, thereby completely screwing up my ability to work productively.
