50 Recipes: #1, Ricotta Cheese
A few people on my flist are doing the 50 recipes thing again this year, and even though I'm getting a late start, I think I'm going to follow along as well. Today I made ricotta cheese from scratch, which turns out to be ridiculously easy (almost as easy as making paneer), and which will be turned into cheesecake tomorrow for dinner with my parents.
Note: If any of you decide to make ricotta by hand, it tastes absolutely terrible, so please feel free to send me your batches and I will dispose of them in an ecologically sound manner.
