Is it weird that I'm looking forward to making 40 teeny images, 4 status sounds, and a ringtone tomorrow so I can have a fully customized theme for my hot new cellphone?
Hee! I am, of course, planning a Doctor Who theme, since my old phone had a nice TARDIS background, and the new phone rather stupidly just places a tiny version of the same photo on the background rather than making it full-screen. The only way to get that photo to show up full-screen is to create an entire theme -- there's Windows-only software to do it, but it looks like as long as I make a bunch of graphics and just edit an XML file by hand, I can make a theme without having the special software.
The hot new phone is a Nokia N75, a smartphone, by which I mean it may be smarter than I am. (And don't worry, I did not pay list price for it -- after various deals and rebates through AT&T, it works out to about $50.) I figure this will hold me until a cheaper, better version of the iPhone becomes available ;-)
I exaggerate somewhat -- most of the 40 images are teeny, but not all of them. There are 14 "large" (44x44) icons for various applications; 14 small (33x33) versions of the same icons; and miscellaneous tab backgrounds, wallpapers, and animations. I have pretty much everything done except for the screensaver and one tab background, so those (along with the sounds, if I have time) are tonight's project.
