Hey! There's nothing wrong with Papyrus! (Used selectively and sparingly and preferably in a very restrained Egyptian theme -- if such a thing exists -- with an Eye of Horus somewhere.) (What? What? Everything is better with an Eye of Horus!)

I believe they used Copperplate for the font of the titles of one of the Spiderman movies and it REALLY annoyed me in the theater. There's a part of me that was bothered because I was bothered.

I feel your pain. I know this stuff shouldn't bother me, but I can't help it: life is too short to stare at really bad type.

if I saw that, I'd assume they went to some "professional" sign company that charged them a mint for something they knocked off a computer in 5 minutes. Yuk! It's like looking at those places overseas that bid on doing logo design.

Oh, god, those places. My mother sent me an article about "doing logo design on the cheap," and was surprised when I got really angry about how these sort of places devalue good design.
