APAD(ish) #7: Desk

I promised a photo of my desk to someone yesterday, so here it is, in all its sorry, messy glory. The lopsidedness in the photo is the room, not the camera. Ah, the joys of living in a nearly 100-year-old house.



Scavenger hunt time! (Full size may be helpful here.) Look for:

• a plush beet
• a bumper sticker from JournalCon 2004 (hint: it was in Washington, DC, and includes a DC-specific joke)
• "The claw! The claw is our master!"
• The Fimo Inu
• RSC postcard
• Bonus no one will ever get: Newton MessagePad 2100 (yes, I really do have one, and it probably still works)

Wallpaper? I wish! We live in the Museum of Wood Paneling. Someday we'll win the lottery and have enough money to fully de-1970 this house, but it hasn't happened yet.

I still have (and use, sometimes) my Newton 2100, which I had lovingly had upgraded from a 2000 when they offered that, back in the day! :)

(I also still, amazingly, have all its dongles and cords.)

Apple was way too far ahead of its time with the Newtons. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get rid of mine; it's got too much sentimental value.
