Let's not discuss how far over I am on today's calorie allotment, because the truly important thing is that a good third of them went to a martini, my favorite beer, and homemade coconut cream pie:

It is a damned fine pie, if I do say so myself.

No one in my house will eat coconut cream but me. I have to buy a piece at the grocery store and then deal with the calories afterwards.

Yeah, the problem with making the pie is that there are only two of us, and I'm still dieting. OTOH, it's not like I eat this every day, and let's face it, coconut cream pie is worth the calories.
