(no subject)

Remember the banjo player from last summer? He's back, has apparently mastered "Something in the Way She Moves," and has moved on to that other classic banjo piece: "The Marseillaise."

I only wish I were kidding.

Trade you for the neighbor with the circular saw.

I *love* your icon, btw!

I do, too. I scanned one of my husband's birthday cards and made two icons out of it. It's the classic "hedgehog meets balloon, balloon comes to untimely end" gag. Hee.

What's the difference between a banjo and a circular saw?

A circular saw has a dynamic range.

Look at it this way: at least the banjo spares you the piercing high notes that you'd get on some other instrument like a flute or trumpet.

It reminds me of a neighbor, long dead now, who used to play several rousing renditions of "Spanish Eyes" each day on her electric organ. For years. It made me long for the cold weather so I could shut the frickin window.
