I admit I'm not a fan of Seven/Ace myself, which squicks me a bit since their relationship always seems like parent-child to me.
Yes, that's how I see it too. I love them in all their dysfunctional glory, but I can't ship them. I hadn't read any fic where Ace is paired with another Doctor before, but now I'm going to have to go and track some more down. :)
