eleventyfest is over, and the mods have de-anoned the AO3 collection. (Comm to follow soon. There's also a masterlist on the comm.) I was thrilled to get not one, but three fics:

• merryghoul was matched with me, and wrote me delightful Eleven-meets-Ace-and-together-they-make-up-and-fight-crime fic: For the Good of the Earth


• eve11 wrote me treat-fic about Eleven, Amy, and Rory on the Eye of Orion, post-TDW: Still Life. (Includes one of my favorite summaries of any story, ever: "The most tranquil place in the universe, and you're lamenting a lack of ungulates.")


• clocketpatch also wrote me a treat, and literally so, given that it's cake!fic. Also, anyone who'll write Eleven/Romana/River is all right with me: Don't pretend this wasn't intentional

As for me? Yes, I wrote something too, which I'll post here shortly. I was matched to such_heights, who is both a fest mod and a terrific writer, so no pressure whatsoever there, heh. I'm pleased with what I came up with, though, and so was she, which is the really important part.

Anyway, go and read the rest of the collection. As I said in a comment on the comm: a lot of fic comes my way, and it's rare for me to see this many great stories at the same time. (I also hope the authors post their stories to Teaspoon, as otherwise I'll never be able to rec any of them on calufrax.)

We're starting to run low on reccers again at calufrax, the fic recommendations comm for A Teaspoon And An Open Mind. If you've recced before but want to volunteer again – or if you've never recced before, and want to join the fun – now's the time. Open slots begin April 29.

All you need is a mere four stories on Teaspoon you love – more's great too, but not required – that are well-written, don't all include exactly the same pairing (though they don't all have to be different), and don't involve character bashing. Do you need a Middleman/DW crossover written by the Middleman's author himself? Why yes, you do.

You know how sometimes you wake up and wonder where all the Sally Sparrow/Amy Pond with alien hedgehog-spine aphrodisiac fic is?

... okay, maybe that's just me, but either way, you should read it.

I don't even celebrate Christmas, and I loved this "bit of shameless and innocent Four/Romana Christmas fluff," as the author puts it: Lights and Cheer, by leamichelle. Hilarious and charming, and the dialogue is spot-on.

Eleven/Rory (though not immediately), teen-rated, and non-spoilery for recent episodes.

I realize I'm two years late to the game on this, but in my defense, I didn't even know this story existed until it got linked from this post I found on the Daily: it's a DW/José Chung crossover. That's right, José Chung, as in "Of the many tales FBI agent Reynard Muldrake told me, none was as strange as the Lord of Time."

I may never stop giggling. Go read this now.
