[community profile] eleventyfest is over, and the mods have de-anoned the AO3 collection. (Comm to follow soon. There's also a masterlist on the comm.) I was thrilled to get not one, but three fics:

  • [personal profile] merryghoul was matched with me, and wrote me delightful Eleven-meets-Ace-and-together-they-make-up-and-fight-crime fic: For the Good of the Earth

  • [livejournal.com profile] eve11 wrote me treat-fic about Eleven, Amy, and Rory on the Eye of Orion, post-TDW: Still Life. (Includes one of my favorite summaries of any story, ever: "The most tranquil place in the universe, and you're lamenting a lack of ungulates.")

  • [livejournal.com profile] clocketpatch also wrote me a treat, and literally so, given that it's cake!fic. Also, anyone who'll write Eleven/Romana/River is all right with me: Don't pretend this wasn't intentional

As for me? Yes, I wrote something too, which I'll post here shortly. I was matched to [personal profile] such_heights, who is both a fest mod and a terrific writer, so no pressure whatsoever there, heh. I'm pleased with what I came up with, though, and so was she, which is the really important part.

Anyway, go and read the rest of the collection. As I said in a comment on the comm: a lot of fic comes my way, and it's rare for me to see this many great stories at the same time. (I also hope the authors post their stories to Teaspoon, as otherwise I'll never be able to rec any of them on [livejournal.com profile] calufrax.)

We're starting to run low on reccers again at [livejournal.com profile] calufrax, the fic recommendations comm for A Teaspoon And An Open Mind. If you've recced before but want to volunteer again – or if you've never recced before, and want to join the fun – now's the time. Open slots begin April 29.

All you need is a mere four stories on Teaspoon you love – more's great too, but not required – that are well-written, don't all include exactly the same pairing (though they don't all have to be different), and don't involve character bashing. Questions or comments about volunteering? Head on over to the sign-up post – and thanks!

Detectives, Adventurers and Girls Who Don't Wait Around: The Paradox of Amelia J. Williams. Post-TATM, metafictional, positively filled me with joy. (And it's G-rated, for those of you who follow me and somehow aren't looking for pornography.)

Do you need a Middleman/DW crossover written by the Middleman's author himself? Why yes, you do.

You know how sometimes you wake up and wonder where all the Sally Sparrow/Amy Pond with alien hedgehog-spine aphrodisiac fic is?

... okay, maybe that's just me, but either way, you should read it.

"Disturbingly plausible RPF crack": Yes. Yes, it is.

I Can See Gallifrey From My House (Simm!Master, other characters)
nonelvis: (DW blue TARDIS)
I don't even celebrate Christmas, and I loved this "bit of shameless and innocent Four/Romana Christmas fluff," as the author puts it: Lights and Cheer, by leamichelle. Hilarious and charming, and the dialogue is spot-on.

Serpentine Smile, by [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis - like the author says, it's "naked gen banter," which was really all I needed to encourage me to read it. You should, too.

Fic recs! In alphabetical order by author:

Nervous Circuits, by [livejournal.com profile] alibi_factory (R; Rory/TARDIS, Eleven; warning for dubcon)
Do I need to say anything more about this other than "Rory/TARDIS" to convince people to read it? It's wrong, but brilliant.

Stories We Tell Our Children, by [livejournal.com profile] calapine (G; Eleven, Amy, River, Rory)
A set of gorgeous fairy tales about the people and events of S5.

Irregulars, by [personal profile] lizbee (PG-13; Mickey/Martha)
This is now my personal canon for how Mickey and Martha got married.

A Doctor Who/Spaced crossover with bonus zombies: Smash It (Zombies and Time Lords Remix)

You're welcome.

It has been really hard to find good Eleven-era fic for some reason, but this is just magnificent:

Seventeen Things That Happen to Rory Williams, After

Eleven/Rory (though not immediately), teen-rated, and non-spoilery for recent episodes.
nonelvis: (LOST Looking Glass Station)
Forgot to rec this after I found it yesterday: Four Days in the Desert, a terrific Torchwood/Lost crossover. No, really, it works perfectly. Go read it.
nonelvis: (DW fire and ice and something)
I realize I'm two years late to the game on this, but in my defense, I didn't even know this story existed until it got linked from this post I found on the Daily: it's a DW/José Chung crossover. That's right, José Chung, as in "Of the many tales FBI agent Reynard Muldrake told me, none was as strange as the Lord of Time."

I may never stop giggling. Go read this now.

[livejournal.com profile] columbina has committed James Bond fic, and very good fic it is, too. Well, strictly speaking, it isn't entirely James Bond fic, but anything more specific will spoil you.

The Zenon Dossier

Go, read, enjoy.
