Feb. 24th, 2008 12:21 pmThe MacBook Pro is back from the dead and now running 10.5.2. All the major apps I checked are running just fine, so I've dumped the backup System Folder and a few videos I no longer need and have reclaimed about 14Gb of space.
So far, I don't hate Leopard, but I'm not in love with it, either. Since I've hardly put it through its paces yet, the things that are annoying me are relatively tiny: the almost-invisible translucent blue ball graphics used to identify active applications in the Dock; the way two mini-months crunch up against each other in iCal (shockingly bad typography from Apple); the faux-embossed type in Safari's Bookmarks Bar and tab headers, which just looks oversharpened to me. But these are all minor quibbles as long as the damned thing boots, and I'm looking forward to trying out other features: tabbed chats (finally!), Spaces, maybe even Time Machine.
