(no subject)

• I seem to have caught a cold. Fortunately, it's early in the week, so I haven't missed any meetings ... yet. I can always call in to tomorrow's two-hour extravaganza, though, and the cold should be mostly gone by the time my parents come to town this weekend.
  
• Have written over 400 words of a second attempt at my entry for the Cliché Swap Ficathon, and this one's going to work, I think.
  
• I had a two and a half hour nap. Yeah, I guess I really am sick.
  
• Am catching up on back issues of Gourmet and found a recipe for chicken-fried ribs. CHICKEN-FRIED RIBS. Neither my arteries nor my waistline need this, but I want to make it anyway.
  
• How can I be sleepy again already?
