• Slept like crap. Tried to sleep late but was thwarted by evil cats, who repeatedly tried to kill each other just outside the bedroom door. I wish I could train them to knock politely as an attention-getting mechanism.


• Have started picking hotels for Stratford-upon-Avon, and only had a minor freakout about places selling out too quickly. Actually, I think there are still plenty of rooms; hotels.com just sucks. But I still want to deal with this tomorrow if I can.


• Finally got to meet up with dollycake, whom I hadn't seen in 20 years, which is just astounding. It is entirely my fault for (mostly deliberately) falling off the face of the Earth with respect to people I knew in high school, but man, it was good to see her again. dollycake, if you're reading, let's definitely get together after my Thanksgiving craziness is over!


• I've been drabbling in the lifeonmartha 1,000 Drabbles of Awesome project, because speed-writing 100-word blurbs is unexpectedly fun. If you like Martha, go read the drabble post; there are tons of great stories there. Plus it's been nice to write some comedy for a change, because ...


• I finished the Ten/Reinette story on Thursday, have been letting it rest, and will give it its final polish tomorrow.


• Finally: Hershey's Special Dark Raspberry Kisses, unlike the Cherry Cordial Kisses, do not suck.
