I'll have you know that the "this is more of a comment than a question" joke was the very first thing I wrote for this story :D It had to be in there! (As did the UNIT dating joke, obviously.)
I'm glad the fade-to-black worked for you, too. I realized halfway through the story that tonally, something more explicit wouldn't work, and though I always feel like I'm copping out a bit when I don't actually write the sex scene, sometimes it really is the right choice.
