When I worked in a university located in downtown Boston, we also got two Boston-specific holidays off: Bunker Hill Day and Evacuation Day. (The latter is as much an excuse to let people out of work for St. Patrick's Day as anything else, since the two holidays suspiciously fall on the same day.)
"Planet of the Ood" was good. There were some slightly dodgy special effects, as always, and there was a moment when I started saying "THEY'VE TAKEN SPOCK'S BRAIIIIN!!!!" at the screen (you'll see why), but I liked it. Plus there is Ominous Foreshadowing at the end.
