I'm amazed at how cheap and good modern cameras are. I'm seriously thinking of getting my mom one of the A-series Canons -- she has a 3MP camera that takes about five seconds to start up, by which time the cats aren't doing anything cute anymore. It would feel a little strange for my mom to have a higher-megapixel camera than I do, though... they barely even *make* 3-5MP cameras anymore.
