Someone across the street from us keeps playing "Something in the Way She Moves" on the banjo.
Whoever it is has gotten much better at it over the past couple of months, but that doesn't change the fact that the song sounds awfully weird on the banjo, as if George Harrison had really meant it to be played underwater, with tons of reverb.
That's it for tonight. I think I've spent entirely too much time on LJ today as it is.

on 2008-05-27 01:36 am (UTC)Of course, I listened obsessively to a bluegrass cover of "Holiday" for two weeks and am still not sick of it, so one probably shouldn't go by me.

on 2008-05-27 01:47 am (UTC)Are you talking about the Madonna song "Holiday"? Because I'd love to hear that. (I can offer an excellent country/bluegrass cover of Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" in return.)

on 2008-05-27 01:51 am (UTC)I'd totally pay money to hear that, though.
Are you talking about the Madonna song "Holiday"?
NOES, BLASPHEMY. Green Day's "Holiday," the greatest song evar.*
(I can offer an excellent country/bluegrass cover of Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" in return.)
I'd love to hear that! Can, uh, make the Green Day available somewhere if you're interested even though it isn't Madonna.
*My obsession with it is a bit inexplicable, yeah.
