APAD(ish) #1: Ladybug

Along with a few other people, I'm trying to post a photo a day during the month of October. I was walking through Davis Square today, wondering what my first shot would be, when I found it parked along Elm Street.



(I wish there'd been a way to keep the bicycle and streetlight post out of the shot, but that would have involved being a foot taller.)

They do all sorts of fun paint jobs on VW Beetles over here, but my favorite so far is the one that makes it look like a baseball. With all the rounded edges, it's just perfect.

WANT. Actually, what I want is a Mini Cooper convertible with that same paint job.

It would be super-cute, but I'm still partial to the Minis with the British flag trim. (The Mini site has a nice configurator you can use to play with different paint jobs, but sadly, there's no ladybug option yet.)

I think the Beetle pulls it off more successfully than the Volvo.
