APAD(ish) #5: Nessie

It's my friends' son's first birthday today, so having sent them Top-Seekrit Knitting Project, I can finally reveal it here:


The Nessie pattern comes from Amigurumi Knits, and though my grafting definitely needs work, this was a pretty easy pattern to follow. Also, the book comes with some of the clearest photographic stitch instructions I've seen, and turns out to have been worth buying just for that reference material.
I'm thinking of making the book's peapod pattern with the leftover green yarn, or possibly another Loch Ness monster, if I have enough blue to do a reverse-colored one. But first, a sweater for myself, once I get off my ass and go buy more yarn.
