It has taken two years, but I finally figured out where that random suction cup came from: the refrigerator thermometer.

(In fairness, I have not spent the last two years thinking about this nonstop, but every now and then I did notice the suction cup, and wondered about its provenance.)

(Also, I am wasting time when I should be working on my Big Finish fic. Fail is me.)

I just opened the refrigerator door, noticed the thermometer was pushed way in the back, and and suddenly realized it had only one suction cup. I think my jaw might have dropped open a bit, I was so surprised to make that connection.
