I cleared out the garden this morning. All that's left to do is pull up the basil plants, and purée and freeze the leaves, but I am too lazy to do that today. It's not going to get quite cold enough to freeze overnight this week anyway, so I can take care of the basil next weekend.

There was still a fair amount of produce outside, even though it's early November.
Bowl o' peppers

Three stubby carrots, four green tomatoes (mostly Purple Cherokee, with one Jet Star), and a bunch of corno di toro sweet peppers. I am definitely growing the corno di toros again next year; one plant yielded more peppers than we could eat, and they tasted terrific.
End of the garden produce

Speaking of more peppers than we could eat, the jalapeño plant, as always, was prolific. The yellow guy at the top of the photo is a Hungarian wax pepper.

It's a bit sad seeing the garden like this, but then again, there's always next year to look forward to.

As I mentioned over Flickr, I find it unfair that there is no snow for SOME people (at least you are not mocking me with 27 degrees by Celsius ...)

Aw, always sad to have to pull up a garden. But it's time. You got a long growing season this year!

Bittersweet, I'm sure. The veggies look fantastic.

You could make pesto for someone you don't like very much.
