Via io9.com, a man using a Faraday suit, two Tesla coils, and 500,000 volts of electricity to play the Doctor Who theme with lightning.

Arc Attack are so cool, and so was Maker Faire. We were there this past weekend (though I didn't see this particular performance, alas). But I did see the Tesla coils perform the Mario Theme, the Star Spangled Banner, and a couple of other songs. They also had a Faraday cage and volunteers from the audience could go inside for the duration of a song.

That sounds fabulous! I'm not sure I'd have been brave enough to climb into the Faraday cage, even though I know it would have been perfectly safe.
