We all have our own unique talents, but somehow I'd hoped that mine would turn out to be more socially relevant or useful than being able to write a 600-word Pynchon-pastiche crossover between Doctor Who and Gravity's Rainbow.
I don't know where this came from, but it took less than 45 minutes, including the time a couple weeks ago to write Slothrop's song, and I only changed a couple of words in the final editing process. As we say so often around here, the mind is a dark forest.
