Dear Disco Hiatus Exchange Person

If you have been unlucky or fortunate (take your pick) enough to match with me for the exchange, here are a few additional notes about my preferences.

1) I'M JUST HAPPY YOU'RE HERE.
No, really, I am! I will be the first to admit I'm a picky reader/icon fan, but I am also a grateful one, and I am delighted someone out there will be making a surprise for me.

2) ANY CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS WILL DO
I am picky about writing quality. I am not picky about characters. Write the characters and pairings you feel comfortable with, and I'll be happy to read them. Rarepairs or pairings who have never met in canon are great, too, especially if you can provide a viable explanation for how they would have met. If you want to include characters I didn't have on my list, that's okay, too! I just picked my faves. Also, het, femslash, slash, threesomes or moresomes: it's all good.

3) THINGS I LOVE
Snappy, in-character dialogue. Comedy. Bed-sharing. Heist stories. (If it helps, my favorite Disco episode is "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad," because I am mostly in Doctor Who fandom, and I do love me a good time loop.) Friends-to-lovers. Enemies-to-lovers. Slow burn. Fake marriage. Angst. Wistful sadness that people who love each other cannot actually be together. Porn, especially funny porn. (If you read Doctor Who fic and want to get a sense of the type of stuff I've written there -- which is obviously, barring a few kinks, the sort of thing I like myself -- here's a link to my stories on Teaspoon.)

4) THINGS I DISLIKE
OOC dialogue/actions. You Are My One True Love And I Have Never Loved Anyone But You And Never Will Love Anyone But You, My Soulmate, and aaarrrgggghhhh DO NOT WANT. Soulbonding, obviously. Babyfic. Kidfic. Curtainfic. Body horror. Torture/graphic violence. Noncon, though I can deal with a little dubcon.

5) IF WE MATCHED FOR ICONS ...
If you want to get a sense of the kind of thing I like, here are my current icons. Many of them I made myself, but certainly not all. I like tight and/or interesting crops, well-typeset text-only icons, or frankly, anything that makes me laugh. I generally prefer simple over heavily layered.
