I have resigned myself to the fact that I have given up ownership of the soft surfaces in my house to my cats, particularly my 18 lb. black cat who can crush the life out of me simply by sitting on my stomach.
My other cat, who does not have the smothering power, just gives me the feline stank eye whenever I make her move out of my preferred spot on the couch.
Inu has started to whine pitifully whenever someone is sitting in the chair she uses to jump to the couch. Never mind the fact that the chair and the couch are at the exact same height and she can easily jump directly onto the couch; she must let us know that we are in her spot, dammit.
