I can't decide whether this is the most brilliant marketing video I've ever seen, or the dumbest, but I'm leaning towards brilliant.



Go to Yahoo's Featured Video page if you want to see the whole thing. By the time columbina and I made it through Frodo and Gandalf's IM conversation, we were practically rolling on the floor with laughter.

Off to go assemble many, many shelves from IKEA now. Back someday.

Am I the only one who did not think of Y!IM when they advertised "Frodo and Gandalf [connecting] in brand-new, fun ways"? If I am, I will be either very embarrassed or very disappointed.

Where on earth do you have for more bookcases?

We are replacing the big bookcase in the living room with a tall Billy unit like the rest of our bookcases, two thin Benno units to hold DVDs, and a thinner Billy. The thin items will form a corner unit at right angles to the large Billy.

We're also replacing the coffee table with a different model, because ours is finally falling apart. I figure 8-9 years is a perfectly good lifespan for our current table, considering we only paid $70 for it. We'll see how long the new $70 model lasts.
