I kind of knew when the title of the post began with "This is not an Amy bashing post..." that I was not going to be thrilled with some of the words that followed.

Come now -- there's absolutely nothing wrong with Amy except for her comfort level with her sexuality, her slutty short skirts, her "morally degrading" job as a kissogram ... but I'm TOTALLY NOT BASHING HER.

Oh dear god, what is the big deal about Amy's legs? I've barely noticed them, aside from thinking "goodness, she's tall" now and then. Am I just that oblivious because she's not my type?

There's one comment of another sort that bugged me: "She feels entitled to be the Doctor's companion not with any consideration of what he might want." Er... he invited her along. And I really hate glorifying the approval of the Doctor by making companionhood be some sort of position of honor he's there to bestow or withhold. She's his friend, she didn't apply for a support position.
