Via Warren Ellis' blog: Ward Sutton analyzes 2008 presidential campaign logotypes and marks, in cartoon form. This is wonderful, not just because I think Sutton's analysis is dead-on, but also because he explains very clearly how different typographical and visual elements contribute to (or detract from) each candidate's brand. Recommended for political and design geeks alike.

I'm one of the political geeks, I guess (and sort of a really, really amateur design geek), and so of course I think that's fascinating. I'm so revolted by anything having to do with W that I never stopped to consider that those damn bumper stickers of his are actually well-designed.
