I generally don't mind dealing with the snow; I consider it part of living in New England. But this is way too much of it, way too quickly.

Daughter might be okay in San Diego. Looks like temperatures range between 50-80 degrees there year-round.

It kinda depends on how close to the ocean you can live in San Diego... SoCal is micro-climate land.
