About the best thing I can say about today is that my HTML earrings arrived, and they are charming and geeky.

I bought the HEAD earrings. Chip took one look and said, "Wow, even I wouldn't buy something *that* geeky." (Which isn't true; he has shirts I can't understand.)

They are a little smaller than I expected, which is nice, because if you aren't looking closely at them, they just seem like discreet little stainless steel rectangles.

I am kind of regretting not having bought an extra pair for columbina -- I guess he'll just have to borrow mine.
